scarf print shorts never really appealed to me before. it's not that they're plain-featured or anything, it's just that this is another piece of clothing that i never thought would look good on my lanky frame. i would flinch everytime i'd imagine myself wear one for fear of looking like i just rolled out of bed so i never really tried one on. but i've always admired girls who could pull off this look perfectly. the dainty street chic vibe it flaunts is just too good to pass up. so when i saw this piece hanging in the overruns section of a nearby mall, i just had to give it a go. i paired it with a laser-cut open back top which i also wore here and a vest (of course) else my husband would not let me set foot outside our porch. haha!
