Sinulog is an annual cultural and religious festival held on the third Sunday of January and is by far the biggest and grandest festival in the Philippines to date. It celebrates the miraculous Senyor Santo Niño or the Child Jesus and draws tourists from all around the globe.
In between cutting and styling shirts, Jean and I decided to try their street food- stuffing ourselves to get ready for their BBQ and Wine Buffet that followed soon after!
Sisig and Isaw because I can't remember the last time I had Isaw and boyyy did I enjoyed munching on this all-time favourite filipino street food!
BBQ and Wine Buffet ensued and for P690 per person, guests were treated to a wide array of barbeque specials like pork, chicken, quail eggs, chorizo, squid and isaw! Yes, ISAW again!
We also got to try their Paella Negra and Paella Longganisa, two of the many dishes that you can order a la carte. Each serving costs P135 which you can share or eat alone because really, if the food is that good, why share when you can order one for each, right? :D
With 4 kinds of wine to choose from to go with the restaurant's grilled favourites, it was definitely a different yet familiar dining experience for all the guests.
I may not have joined the thousands of revellers on the streets this year but my Planet Grapes Sinulog 2016 made up for the experience missed because it was well worth our time and staying indoors during Sinulog has never been this fun!
So should you find yourself looking for a place to wine and dine on the 14th, Pour In Love only with Planet Grapes! Follow their Facebook page for updates and promos for Valentine's Day!
