OUTFIT: Parka Season

July 30, 2014

this bed weather is just heaven-sent! it gives one all the right reasons to stay in bed much longer, indulge in coffee more often and bring out all those layering pieces! yes, LAYERS! for someone like me who's thin and frail and always cold, cold environment just gets the best of me unless of course i am wearing layer upon layer of clothing. HAHA! so for days when its equal parts windy and cloudy, i bring out my trusty ol' linen parka for some warm comfort. it feels lighter than a knitted cardigan but a bit thicker than a kimono so its basically the perfect outerwear for me when its not raining and the average temperature is a play between 25-26 °C. yes, i take weather forecast very seriously. HAHA!
but since Cebu's weather is so bipolar, i try to keep my first layer as versatile as possible. something that i can still walk around in within feeling too hot or too cold without the parka. this H&M bodycon dress was a gift that i haven't worn since forever and is perfect for overcast days since its made of thick fabric fit for Ireland's cold weather (thanks, ate lot!)
but if you're not too keen on animal prints, you can opt for this floral bodycon dress that is just as pretty as this one.
you can also opt for a plain colored dress and wear a printed kimono over it for a much dantier look. a kimono, if parka or cardigan is not for you ;)
whatever type of outerwear you choose, a parka, cardigan, pullover or kimono, always make sure to bring an umbrella with you for you don't know exactly when it's gonna pour. wow. totally unrelated! haha! anyway, stay warm and dry, loves!

toni
