OUTFIT: Fit and Flare

fit and flare dresses have been around forever and are making a big comeback this year, dominating both online and runway looks for Summer 2014. This style flatters any body type as it creates an hourglass shape with its cinch at the waist feature for a very ladylike silhouette and flouncy hemline that gives the illusion of long legs. i personally love how it accentuates a tiny waist (or lack thereof) and how its flared bottom gives off a really classic 50's vintage-y vibe which i totally adore! although the top half specifically said FIT, i like keeping mine a bit loose as i have a tendency to look a lot more thinner as i'd like. i wore this ensemble to a friend's wedding a few weeks ago and completed the look with minimalist heels and studded small bag.
this style can be easily dressed up or down making it the perfect go-to ensemble for daytime cute to a night time stunner look!

p.s. please know that the obvious color difference of my upper and lower body in the first 3 full-body photos is not the result of bad editing skills BUT of the building that's in front of me casting a shadow on just my lower half. just a little FYI. lol!
