Shopping for luxury items in Cebu means ordering online and dealing with customs and shipping fees that almost equals the amount of the item you're buying. Every girl needs a good concealer in her beauty arsenal. Whether you have dark circles, red blemishes or acne scars, a good concealer can camouflage all these without having to pile on so much product thus allowing you to achieve that pore-less and flawless complexion without leaving a heavy feeling.
For someone who has sensitive skin, I always stick to products that I really swear by and those that I’ve used for quite some time. I am not one to test each and every new discovery in the market but if I see something promising, I, of course, make a conscious effort to go through the product description, list of ingredients and read reviews before I give in and road test it. It’s best to get to know the products you want to try by researching than by viva voce.
I’ve heard a lot of good reviews of Naturactor’s product line; from their concealer, to their pressed powder, down to their silky lucent loose powder. Beauty gurus and enthusiasts alike have, at one point, raved about how good Naturactor products are. The chances of reading bad reviews are slim to none, but the dead giveaway? The tag, Made in Japan. If products are from the Land of the Rising, trust that I would consider trying it 60-70 percent of the time.
Naturactor Cover Face Concealer Foundation can be used as a concealer or a full coverage foundation. It has a smooth, workable texture, is light and is perfect for days when you don't want to wear too much face products. It provides good coverage, is easy to apply and in my case, offers 6-hour wear without caking.
The Cover Face comes in 5 different shades.
130 Very light shade. Gives vibrance to pale skin creating a rosy, youthful look. Suitable for very fair skin tone.
140 Light shade. Slightly deeper in color than 130 suitable for fair skin tone.
141 Medium shade. The translucence of this shade makes it suitable for fair to medium skin tone. Suitable for a natural look.
151 Dark shade. Suitable for creating coverage over scars and other major skin imperfection. Translucence of this shade makes it suitable for medium to dark skin tone. Best for brown skin tone.
171 Green shade. Neutralizes redness, superficial blood vessels, acne, blemishes, allergies, irritation and skin redness in general.
In this post, I will show you guys how i use my Naturactor Cover Face Concealer in Shade 140.
I like to start my makeup routine with a treatment lotion before anything else (separate post to follow). It hydrates and prepares my skin for an even and smooth application of my makeup base and concealer. And because UVA and UVB are so unforgiving, one must not forget the sunblock.
This is me with just sunblock and eyebrow makeup on (to make me look more human. ha!)
Zoom in on the redness. Yes.
Using a flat foundation brush, pick up a small amount of product and tap it gently under your eye.
Make sure to use a light hand in picking up the product because a little goes a long way!
Using a beauty blender or a wedge, smoothen out the application even more by tapping gently onto the areas where you've applied the concealer.
Continue covering your problematic areas (sides of the nose and lips) using the same tapping technique of the foundation brush and beauty blender.
Tada! Spot the difference!
Continue blurring out the blemishes on the other side (under eye, around the nose and lip area.) Using what little product left on the beauty blender, I applied onto the rest of my face.
To keep the product from caking, spray on a little Evian water all over your face and continue blurring out uneven application using your blender.
For the finishing touch, always apply powder. Applying loose powder, often known as baking, is essential in achieving line-free and smooth concealer and helps lock everything in. To do this, use a loose powder and large powder brush to sweep the product all over your face. I am using Naturactor Silky Lucent Loose Powder in 41.
You can and may use a tapered kabuki brush to set your under eye concealer using the same loose powder and sweep off the excess using the large powder brush.
The Naturactor Cover Face Concealer did an exceptional job in covering the redness on my cheeks, nose and lip area as well as perfectly camouflaging my dark under eye. It's light, making you feel like you're not wearing anything at all. Just keep in mind to use a light hand when applying the product :)
