I am never without a good pair of blue jeans and while I may have embraced a much more feminine approach with dresses and skirts, I still have a few trusted denim pieces that I reach for on days when I'm too lazy to dress up. My denim pieces, specifically my jeans, are my fail-proof brunch, shopping, movie dates and meetings OOTD choices and with The Metro Stores' recent Big Denim Party Sale, I updated my closet with a few essentials.
I was gonna make this a collective OOTD post of my The Metro Stores shopping haul but decided against it because I want to give you guys something to look forward to in the next few days. Chos. Haha! Seriously though, I'm whipping up a couple of exciting posts in the coming days to make up for my absence here in blogosphere. So there.

Ever since the skinny jeans surfaced, I was never without a good pair and this Petrol super stretch high waist number proved to be good choice.
With just the right amount of snugness, this blue jeans wonder hugs me in all the right places (tucking in a few extra pounds of post-vacation belly) without giving me the trouble of putting it on and taking it off. You gotta admit, there's always that 1 pair of jeans that fits you like a glove but you have to roll on your bed (or floor) when taking it off. Such a pain, really, but good thing this pair isn't one of those stinkers.
And because I'm still not (or ever will be) over off-the-shoulder tops, I paired this with another closet favorite worn as a one shoulder top to give it a fresh spin.
Finished off the whole look with a wicker bag, tassel earrings and low-heeled sandals and voila! Ready to go and do the groceries! Haha!
